(Camerino, 1548-Lima, 1610) en los últimos once años ha&nbsp;cobrado relevante importancia, debido al hallazgo de la serie de ocho cuadros sobre Los principales&nbsp;Misterios de la vida y muerte de Cristo nuestro Salvador y de la Virgen Santísima, su madre, pintados&nbsp;para la iglesia del Colegio de la Transfiguración en el Cusco a fines del siglo XVI y encontrados recientemente&nbsp;en la iglesia Santo Tomás de Aquino en el distrito de Rondocan, provincia de Acomayo en&nbsp;Cusco. Uno de los ocho temas representados en la serie es La aparición de Cristo resucitado a su madre,&nbsp;denominado confusamente en el inventario de Temporalidades de 1769 como La aparición de la&nbsp;Magdalena y en publicaciones contemporáneas (2015, 2016 y 2018) llamado Alegoría del Triunfo de&nbsp;la Resurrección y Jesús en el limbo. El presente artículo3 realiza un estudio iconográfico e iconológico&nbsp;del cuadro, y propone una aproximación a las fuentes visuales.</p><p><strong>Palabras clave:</strong> Bernardo Bitti, jesuitas, Cusco, Rondocan, iconografía</p><p><br><strong>Abstract</strong><br>In the last eleven years, the study of the work of Bernardo Bitti S. J. (Camerino 1548-Lima 1610) has&nbsp;taken on greater importance due to the discovery of the series of eight paintings on The principal&nbsp;Mysteries of the life and death of Christ our Savior and the Blessed Virgin his mother, painted for the&nbsp;church of the College of the Transfiguration in Cusco at the end of the 16th century and recently found&nbsp;in the church of Santo Tomás de Aquino in the district of Rondocan, province of Acomayo in Cusco.&nbsp;One of the eight themes represented in the series is The Apparition of the Risen Christ to his mother,&nbsp;confusingly named in the 1769 Temporalities inventory as The Apparition of the Magdalene, and in&nbsp;contemporary publications (2015, 2016, and 2018) called Allegory of the Triumph of the Resurrection.&nbsp;The article makes an iconographic and iconological study of the painting and proposes an approach&nbsp;to the visual sources.</p><p><strong>Keywords:</strong> Bernardo Bitti, Jesuits, Cusco, Rondocan, iconography</p> ER -
