Abstract

The investigation based on demonstrating the degree of adequate construction in the process of consolidation of human settlements and identifying a predominant type of housing for the evaluation of quality of life. This search analyzed a previous study of the place, reviewing concepts and theoretical approaches for the corresponding analysis. Where two variables were recorded; adequate housing and self-construction, under these two a correlation of independence was established, seeking the degree of adequate level in the consolidated self-construction of our case study. We worked with a sample of 6 families from the 19 de mayo Human Settlement in the district of Los Olivos located in North Lima. The results indicate a desired perception of the criteria proposed in consulting architectural and spatial design, with a significant difference in structural design and design of specialties; thus demonstrating a necessary evaluation in said advice. In the other criteria, it shows optimal results on average under adequate housing standards, but it should be noted that there is a negative in terms of the housing environment; an adaptation and offer of cultural activities that is necessary to develop it for a quality of life. Finally, the recommendation is made to present a proposal to evaluate the quality of housing under the format of the questionnaire presented and the development of a typology with the characteristics to be considered.
