Sin duda, ha sido un gran aporte a la cultura visual del país, pero se ha olvidado el capítulo final de la historia del IAC y las circunstancias de su desaparición. El presente artículo intenta señalar los datos que faltan, importantes para conocer los aportes de la institución y saber las causas que determinaron su desaparición.</p> <p><br><strong>Palabras clave:</strong> Instituto de Arte Contemporáneo, museo, arte contemporáneo</p> <p> </p> <p><br><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em><br><em>The Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) published an essential book for the history of art in Peru: Stories to Tell: IAC, 1955-2015, where the stages through which the famous Institute of Contemporary Art of Lima went through, its founders, directors, and programs, in favor of elucidating the problem of the art of the time, criticism and, in general, the Peruvian art, Undoubtedly, it has been a significant contribution to the visual culture of the country, but the final chapter of the history of the IAC and the circumstances of its disappearance have been forgotten.
