Objectives of the 100 X 100 URP Program
1. To increase the scientific production of the INICIB of the Universidad Ricardo Palma (URP).
2. To contribute to position Universidad Ricardo Palma among the universities with more than 100
publications per year in SCOPUS.
3. To consolidate the critical mass of INICIB and URP researchers registered in
RENACYT-CONCYTEC.
4. To reinforce the academic growth and interdisciplinary and collaborative research in the Biomedical
area of the Universidad Ricardo Palma.
5. To contribute to meet the indicators and standards of the University for the processes of
certification and licensing by regulatory agencies (SUNEDU, SINEACE, CONCYTEC, MINSA, etc.).
We went from having 14 URP publications in SCOPUS in 2015 to having more than 80 publications in 2020, a growth of 571%. In 2015, we started the First Thesis Degree Course at the Faculty of Human Medicine. In 2016 we promoted the reengineering of the scientific journal “Revista de la Facultad de Medicina Humana” and the process of incorporating research professors to INICIB and their registration in CONCYTEC, REGINA and later in RENACYT.
Since 2018, INICIB is ASPEFAM center for research internships, receiving students from various
universities in the country.
The Special Program: 100 x 100 URP of INICIB, was approved by University Council Agreement in
May 2021 and currently more than 15 researchers with registration in RENACYT-CONCYTEC have been
incorporated, with allocation of research hours, to develop research projects, work in teaching-research
translation, and contribute to scientific publications.
In the 2021, until the first half of June, only in SCOPUS, 32 publications of the Universidad
Ricardo Palma were registered.
Universidad Ricardo Palma invests in and rewards research, awarding economic prizes and
distinctions to the authors of the best theses of the Faculty of Human Medicine in 2020. It also has an
incentive program for teachers who publish, provides financial support for travel and presentations at
national and international conferences for teachers and students, grants annual funding for research
projects, fully finances the production and publication of the Revista de la Facultad de Medicina Humana
and currently, within the 100 x 100 URP Special Program, has designated and approved a specific economic
fund to finance translations and publications in international indexed journals of high impact.
Developing models and special programs aimed at promoting, strengthening and raising the
scientific production of the Universidad Ricardo Palma is a strategic pillar for the present and future
of the institution, linked to its academic prestige, its role in society and the country, its
accreditation and licensing indicators, its national and international positioning and the scientific,
technological and innovative development of its teachers, students and researchers.
In accordance with its vision and mission, the Universidad Ricardo Palma reinforces research
programs, promoting scientific production and generating the conditions for its growth.
