These two indicators are understood as reactions of the organism to adaptation in an environment (stress) or in response to a threat (anxiety). When these reactions are constant and of strong intensity, they tend to manifest themselves in maladjusted behaviors. T he sample comprised 223 adults in Lima, Peru, using non-probabilistic sampling. The type of research was applied technological research of a descriptive-comparative nature. Three models were developed: one unidimensional model where stress and anxiety items were pooled, and two additional models where they were evaluated independently. The exploratory factor analysis for each independent scale showed a single factor for each (stress with a KMO = .837 and anxiety with a KMO = .841), as well as being significant (Bartlett p < .001).
Renzo Ricardo Palacios Gil, Héctor Hugo Sánchez Carlessi, Carlos Antonio Reyes Romero Copyright (c) 2024 PLURIVERSIDAD http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://revistas.urp.edu.pe/index.php/pluriversidad/article/view/7045 Fri, 24 Jan 2025 00:00:00 -0500 Resilience as a factor for improving mental health in minors. Method: the research is biographical, it used the testimony as a technique to collect information. Through the researcher’s convenience criteria, 10 informers were selected who provided their testimony about their experiences. Results: the inferential analysis of the testimonies allowed us to establish three emerging categories in relation to the reading space: (1) expectancy in the educational community, (2) freedom to read the freely chosen texts, (3) improve the students’ learning process. Conclusions: the pleasure for reading is generated by the students’ interest and the opportunity to put them in direct contact with the texts. It is essential to reorganize libraries and generate many diferent reading spaces motivated by a dynamic model teacher whose reading experience motivates the pleasure for reading. Productive experiences must be replicated, disseminated and create the conditions for a reading culture.
Eduardo Cajandilay Díaz, Manuel R. Solar, wind, biogas and hydroelectric sources have the potential to change the global energy scene by being clean, abundant and with low environmental impact, contributing to the mitigation of climate change and social well-being through a circular economy. This research investigates the social, economic and environmental benefits generated by renewable energies. To this end, a literature review was carried out to analyze the practical results of renewable energies in real environments.
Milene Allauja Ayllon, Gemma Julcamoro Leyton, Kristy Tirado Flores, Bacner Villano Delgado Copyright (c) 2024 PLURIVERSIDAD http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://revistas.urp.edu.pe/index.php/pluriversidad/article/view/7048 Fri, 24 Jan 2025 00:00:00 -0500 Statesman or terrorist? The image of Víctor Haya de la Torre in two comics during the 1962 presidential campaign https://revistas.urp.edu.pe/index.php/pluriversidad/article/view/7049
In 1962, during the presidential campaign in Peru, two comics were published in Lima dedicated to telling the political career of APRA leader Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre, one of the main candidates in those elections along with Manuel Odría and Fernando Belaunde. These comics were called A life at the service of the people (published in the independent magazine format) and The story of a candidate (published in the newspaper El Comercio in the daily strip format). These publications represented, respectively, APRA and anti-APRA propaganda, emphasizing the figure and career of the founder of APRA. The vignettes of both comics contrast in their presentation, narrative tone, drawing style and approach to content, aspects that will be analyzed in this article, where we will also describe the context and the people involved as cartoonists and editors.
Carlos Humberto Rojas Feria Copyright (c) 2024 PLURIVERSIDAD http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://revistas.urp.edu.pe/index.php/pluriversidad/article/view/7049 Fri, 24 Jan 2025 00:00:00 -0500 Interview with Dr. Rosa Filipchuk de Romero https://revistas.urp.edu.pe/index.php/pluriversidad/article/view/7050
This interview, conducted in 2018, shares the testimony of the remembered philologist Rosa Filipchuk de Romero, former director and founder of the Confucius Institute at the Ricardo Palma University.
