Abstract

This article analyzes some of the most used words in the Peruvian press media, virtually documented, related to the pandemic. Based on the selected sample, the aim is to reveal which is the process of word formation most used in the Peruvian language. On the other hand, it is sought to identify if there are some new terms (neologism), and to describe the meaning in the context used.

Magíster en Lingüística por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). Licenciada en Lingüística por la Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal y Licenciada en Educación por la UNMSM con la especialidad de Lenguaje. Diplomada en Literatura Infantil y Juvenil. Diplomada en Políticas Públicas e Interculturalidad por el Ministerio de Cultura y la Universidad Ricardo Palma. Evaluadora del Examen Internacional DELE del Instituto Cervantes en el Programa de Español para Extranjeros en la Universidad Ricardo Palma. Actualmente, es docente, investigadora y correctora de estilo de la URP. Participó como investigadora-colaboradora en la elaboración de la Base de datos del Mapa Lingüístico del Perú del Ministerio de Educación y del Ministerio de Cultura (2012).
