Abstract

Manuel Gonzalez Prada is an icon in the philosophical and cultural history of our country, so historically situating him is always a matter of controversy. In this case, I intend to demonstrate that MGP’s thought cannot be inscribed in the traditional positivist perspective, but in the materialist one. To this end, I review his production and highlight the aspects that would make him, indeed, a materialist renovation.
