Abstract

Dextrocardia iis a type of cardiac malposition where the heart is located on the right side of the hemithorax. This condition is accompanied by other cardiac and extracardiac anomalies that can considerably limit the life of those who suffer from it. The objective of the research is: To propose an alternative program that makes possible the improvement of the physical condition of a student suffering from Dextrocardia with Situs Inversus from the Physical Education Discipline at the Central University “Marta Abreu” of Las Villas, Villa Clara, Cuba. For the development of the research, methods of information collection and processing of the collected information were used. It was found that the student who suffers from this pathology lacks a good physical condition, which affects his state of health, as well as little knowledge about Physical Education and its scope to benefit the quality of life. In this sense, an alternative program was elaborated and submitted to experts' criteria, who evaluated it as pertinent. We worked with a student who was taken as a case study because he suffers from Dextrocardia with Situs Inversus.
