Water resources are essential for the sustainable development of communities and relevant as educational content. This work focuses on exposing how to execute geographic education from the study of local water resources considering project-based learning. The experience is systematized, organized in cycles and directed to the theoretical foundation, later, the structural bases of a project are formed based on its practical implementation and lessons learned in the process. As a main result, content guidelines are exposed to execute geographic education from the study of local water resources and the structure of a project with methodological considerations necessary for its implementation. Derived from the study, it can be inferred that a project focused on geographic education for the study of local water resources must articulate theoretical, methodological, and contextual references that allow a pedagogically relevant experience, while favoring interaction with different spaces and stakeholders. community.
