An interpretation essay on the formation of individualism is presented, which allows us to sketch some ideas to organize a larger debate. In the social studies of the country, the process of individualism was undermined to emphasize the structural dimension of modernization. It our interest to present an image that tries to explain modernization from the point of view of the configuration of the individual in contemporary Peru. Even though, recently individualism has awakened to a more theoretical interest, leaving aside the study of its evolution in society.
