Abstract

This essay, based on research carried out by different authors, seeks to present a «matrix of cultural action» separating its various components and classifying them in their respective fields. Presents a general vision of what is happening in the cultural field, locating its main actors and performances. And doing so, it explores the specificities of the national culture and its interaction with cultural industries, and the consequences on the national society. Its basic objective is to achieve a conceptual tool to «simplify» the complex current cultural process.

Manuel Castillo Ochoa, UNIVERSIDAD RICARDO PALMA

Licenciado en sociología y Magíster por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Ha realizado estudios de doctorado en el Colegio de México y la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Actualmente se desempeña como catedrático de la Universidad Ricardo Palma y como docente de posgrado de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos y la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, entre otras instituciones académicas. La Universidad Ricardo Palma ha editado dos de sus diversos libros publicados: La razón del vacío y la Posmodernidad desde el Perú
