This article presents the main features of the reform of the system of higher education of the countries of the European Community, for the purpose of setting up a European area of higher education, integrated into the research. The purpose that guides this agreement of educational integration is to converge the sound systems of higher education of the European countries towards a more transparent common system, characterized by an architecture based on three cycles (Bachelor, master and doctorate). To that end, the States undertake to develop a national framework of reference for all the titles of their systems of higher education and a general frame of reference for all the existing titles in the field of the European area of higher education in 2010.
