Validación y confiabilidad de una escala de factores amenazantes en situaciones de crisis

Resumen

La pandemia de la COVID-19 no solo afectó la salud física de las personas, sino que también dio lugar a temores y ansiedades referidas a la salud propia y de los familiares, así como a la posibilidad de perder el trabajo, además de otros problemas familiares. Esto llevó a los autores de la presente investigación a elaborar una escala de factores amenazantes en situaciones de crisis. Con el propósito de determinar las propiedades psicométricas de esta escala, la misma se aplicó virtualmente a 581 personas (211 hombres y 389 mujeres; edad promedio: 31.7 años), residentes en diversas regiones del Perú. Se identificó cuatro factores en la escala: indefensión (7 ítems), consecuencias económicas futuras (3 ítems), problemas familiares (3 ítems) y problemas de salud (3 ítems). Los coeficientes alfa de estos factores fueron de .63 (factor 4) a .80 (factor 1). Los resultados obtenidos permiten afirmar que la escala de factores amenazantes en situaciones de crisis puede ser empleada en futuros trabajos de investigación en las áreas de la psicología clínica y social.
