The 50th anniversary of the Ricardo Palma University (URP) and the Faculty of Engineering reminds us of the great effort of the community of this faculty, which left the classrooms in Miraflores and moved, with love and hope, to build the current university campus . They were years of great effort, challenges and shared solidarity.

We express our gratitude to all the professors who send the articles, to the editorial committee, to Dr. Carlos Sebastian, dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and to Dr. Iván Rodríguez, rector of the university, for their support in publishing this edition.
