Abstract

Ricardo Palma University is an institution that represents society. It seeks to be its conscience, its soul and its beacon, as well as its moral and intellectual reserve. It is a leading institution that in difficult circumstances must light the way to knowledge. We strive to ensure that this University survives the times and remains flexible, adaptable to the changes that occur and will occur in society. That is its future and has been demonstrated through the success achieved in the accelerated transition to virtual education, which responded to the challenges posed by the complex phenomena presented to us by society and nature.

Author Biography

Elio Iván Rodríguez Chávez, Universidad Ricardo Palma, Lima, Perú.

He is the current Rector of the Ricardo Palma University of Lima-Peru, Doctor of Education and Master in Education with a mention in University Administration, awarded by the National University of San Marcos. He holds the professional titles of Professor in Spanish and Literature and that of Lawyer, also conferred by the National University of San Marcos. He teaches as a professor of Literature and Law and Introduction to Law at the undergraduate level and in the academic line of Legislation and University Administration at the postgraduate level. He has received the highest decoration of the Palmas Magisteriales in the degree of Amauta awarded by the Ministry of Education of Peru as well as other distinctions of honorary professor and doctor honoris causa from Peruvian and foreign universities. He has been president of the National Assembly of Rectors, of the Andean University Council and of the Ibero-American University Council. He was a member of the National Council of Education. As a writer, he has published poetry and articles in newspapers and academic and cultural magazines on university, educational, legal and literary topics. He is the author of books on the topics listed above.
