The academic discourse related to virtuality limits its scope to the technical sphere, reducing problems given by the adoption of digital representation systems to the capacity they hold to emulate the sensitive properties of analogue instruments. Therefore, this article examines the role of virtuality as a mediator of an epistemic change process in the project activity, which is promoting to pass from a philosophy centered on the teaching of architecture as a drill to its transition as a process of creation based on the simulation of virtual worlds.
