Abstract

This document presents the evaluation and quantification of the grade of landslides risk on slopes from section 3+260 to 3+300 of Project “Trocha de acceso al relleno sanitario Ayash Huaripampa, distrito de San Marcos, provincia de Huaripampa, región Ancash” in order to improve the efficiency of the road transport system. In this study, comparisons were made, under static conditions, between the Taylor Series method and the Monte Carlo method; obtaining results based on the safety factor, probability of failure and reliability index in order to opt for an analysis methodology in  order to quantify the risk. Because the slopes presented an unacceptable level of reliability, their stabilization was evaluated with a gabion wall and reinforced soil wall, the first option being the most economical. In this sense, conducting this research is justified because it allows us to have a better vision of the potential economic losses that the occurrence of a landslide could cause. This allows you to choose or not an engineering solution depending on the geotechnical risk you want to assume.
